NON-PROFIT NAMED CHAMBER BUSINESS OF THE MONTH

Fayette County Community Action Commission was tapped the December Business of the Month recently by the Ambassador Team. Selected for all the good work they do in the community the non-profit has been in existence in Fayette County since 1967 and provides a variety of services to the community.  Their programs include early childhood education, transportation, homeless programs, weatherization assistance, self-help housing, Youth Build, housing assistance and senior services.

The organization is currently in need of support of its Santa for Seniors program which provides personal care items, household items and personal gifts for seniors who don’t have family with which to celebrate the holidays.  Both gifts and monetary donations are being accepted through December 15th and can be made at the Community Action office, 1400 State Route 41 NW.  For a list of items that are needed, or to nominate a senior, contact Mekia Rhoades at 740-313-7062.
