RECOGNIZING JERUSALEM
On Wednesday, President Trump demonstrated that for this Commander in Chief, a promise made is a promise kept. The President signed a proclamation recognizing Jerusalem as the official Capital of Israel and initiated the process of moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel there. Previous U.S. Presidents also promised to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli Capital, but none delivered. Through this proclamation, President Trump made it clear that not only does Israel have a trusted friend in the United States once again, but his ultimate goal is to promote peace in the Middle East so that all people there can enjoy freedom and prosperity.
ENDING THE ABUSE OF THE ANTIQUITIES ACT
President Trump signed proclamations on Monday modifying the boundaries of two national monuments in the great State of Utah. This action protects objects of significance on these public lands, but ends the overreach and abuse of the monument review process nationally by previous administrations using the Antiquities Act of 1906 to close off millions of acres of land to the public. These policies have hurt local economies and the way of life for people who depended on these lands, but President Trump’s historic proclamation will now restore power to local communities where it truly belongs.

CHRISTMAS IN D.C. Last week, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump participated in the 95th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting. In his remarks at the event, the President shared his hope and Christmas cheer with Americans of all faiths.
