FayCo Chamber of Commerce Welcomes" Village Hometead"

Village Homestead, 210 E. Court Street, was officially welcomed into the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce at a recent ribbon cutting. While the company is new to the community, it also celebrated its first year in business. The store had previously been located in Mt. Sterling.

The store features home décor and furniture specializing in farmhouse, French country, cozy cabin and industrial vibes. In addition the store offers antiques, apparel for everyone including pets, OSU and Ohio home proud merchandise, art and specialty farm to table foods and products.

Owners Tamra Hall and Erica Cawley explain, The Village Homestead was created to be exactly a “village of artisans” working together to support one another in an effort to boost one another’s businesses. “The opening of Village Homestead helps to enhance the other home décor businesses in the area by offering another shopping destination, making Washington Court House the place to be for the hunt of one-of-a-kind treasures and home décor,” said Hall.

By day, Hall is serving her twentieth year as the Paralegal and Information Assurance Officer for Finance Fund and Finance Fund Capital Corporation, statewide nonprofit community development entities that work to improve the quality of life for people in Ohio. She founded Columbus Creative Chics, which specializes in artistic wares and painted furniture. Cawley and her husband Jeremy started out repurposing old items for their home as a hobby. After friend and family asked for pieces, they turned their hobby into a small business known as the Noble Pig. They are vendors at Country Hearth Primitives in Grove City and have been part of the Scott Antique Market.
