Vice President Mike Pence at the Wall Street Journal CEO Gathering
Yesterday, Vice President Mike Pence participated in the Wall Street Journal CEO Council gathering in Washington, D.C. The Vice President took questions regarding the Unified Framework for Tax Reform that is designed to ensure that all Americans are treated fairly, workers are able to keep more of their hard-earned money, and companies are incentivized to bring jobs back to the United States. By eliminating loopholes that disproportionately benefit the wealthy, promoting an attractive economic climate in the United States, and reducing the complexity of our current tax code, this “America First” tax reform plan will propel our Nation towards historic economic growth.
"This is a gathering of leaders of consequence. It’s amazing to think that companies gathered here represent $2.5 trillion in annual revenue and millions of jobs across the United States of America. So we thank you for your leadership. We thank you for your investment in America and your belief in America’s future. We know that communities large and small, across this country, depend on the companies that are represented here and the decisions you make each and every day." Vice President Pence said.

President Trump Returns from Asia
Last night, President Donald J. Trump arrived in the United States after concluding his longest foreign trip to date and the longest trip to Asia by an American president in more than a quarter century. President Trump utilized the journey as an opportunity to demonstrate the Administration’s commitment to the Indo-Pacific region, strengthen longstanding alliances, and establish new partnerships. The President visited Japan, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines, where he met with world leaders to discuss a range of strategic issues. President Trump was proud to advance American prosperity by strengthening international resolve to denuclearize North Korea, promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific region, and stimulating fair and reciprocal trade.
“People were taking advantage -- countries were taking advantage of the United States, more than just this region, but the world,” said President Trump. “Those days are over.”
