Meaningful moments take place at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum every day. Thousands of visitors from all over the world pass through the Museum doors. Experts and former heads of state speak at public programs. People of all ages come to reflect and commemorate.

On March 8, students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, visited the 9/11 Memorial & Museum as part of a previously scheduled visit to New York City. Their Museum tour took on a new meaning following the tragic shooting at their high school in February.

Before the group toured the Museum, the students were greeted by Alice Greenwald, our president and CEO, and Howard Lutnick, a 9/11 Memorial & Museum board member and the chairman and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, LP, who shared his own story of personal loss and recovery with the students.
